These portraits were taken after the 2001 Gujarat earthquake. This was the first photographing trip Garlinda Birkbeck took with Olly Belcher which led to a 25 year collaboration, photographing for the award winning charity Shivia working in India, Nepal and Madagascar.
Garlinda Birkbeck's book Shivia is made in collaboration with Olly Belcher and Shivia, showing photographs spanning 25 years from before Shivia was officially launched to now.
