Garlinda Birkbeck

Garlinda took these in Nepal while working with the award winning charity Shivia. In February 2010 she exhibited her photographs with all proceeds going to the charity.

 

More recently she has created a new book made in collaboration with Olly Belcher and Shivia, a charity working in India, Nepal and Madagascar.

Garlinda took most of the photographs in the rural villages of India, Nepal and Madagascar where the Shivia team were working with extremely poor families to enable them to “create livelihoods with dignity”.  These photographs span 25 years from before Shivia was officially launched to now.
